My 2 year old cavoodle was taken to the vet on Thursday 29 January 2026 for vomiting for 3 days after eating a small piece of Schmackos as a treat. He had anti nausea injection and an X-ray and appeared to be improve. He has had no Schmackos until a small piece tonight Thursday 5 February 2026, and vomited immediately.
It appears the formula has changed and is making my dog very ill, please contact me urgently.
Smithfield Shepherd cross. 8 yrs old, had quick reaction (within 5 minutes) after eating 2 x Schmackos Liver strapz – vomited straight up. again. This occurred three days in a row after eating them in the morning, and only happened after eating the Schmackos liver strapz – the beef and chicken were fine.

Boxer dog, 6 years old, had quick (within in 20 minutes) reaction after eating Schmackos Liver strapz – retching and trying to vomit, eating grass, pacing backwards and forwards and in circles. This occurred three times over a period of several days, and only happened after eating the Schmackos liver strapz. Batch details: Best Before 170724 14:20 M1.
